JOHN RAGSDALE JR

John has been speaking, singing, and writing songs since childhood and has served in full-time ministry since 1986.

As the son and grandson of pastors, John grew up around the local church and has a deep love for those who lead, serve, and create.

In 2012, John and his wife Kristin founded The Hills in Nashville, Tennessee, where they spent more than a decade building the church, developing leaders, and creating a culture of worship and creativity. In 2024, The Hills became The Life Church Nashville, continuing the legacy of reaching people and impacting the city.

John has been married to his Heartbeat, Dr. Kristin Evans Ragsdale since 1993. They have two sons, Evan and Davis.

As a songwriter, John’s songs have been recorded by worship leaders and artists around the world, contributing to multiple gold-certified albums and impacting churches across the globe, including CeCe Winans’ Throne Room, featuring John’s song “Thirst For You.”

John’s creativity has opened doors beyond the church, including television appearances on the hit series “Friday Night Lights” and other film and television opportunities.

John has authored multiple resources through Lifeway Christian Resources and continues to create content that encourages people in their faith.

Today, through John Ragsdale Ministries and CNVRG, John comes alongside pastors, leaders, and creatives through:
